This years Lions Candy Day was absolutely critical to
the many blind, visually impaired, deaf and hearing-impaired children
and adults, who depend, rely and partake of the wonderful programs being
administered by your local Lions Club here in Washington, Illinois. Candy Day
was Friday and Saturday October 14th and
15th. Because of generous contributions of so many local
businesses and individuals, the Washington Lions Club has been able to
help so many "needy" in our community in the past. Many individuals now
have eye glasses and hearing aids that they otherwise could not have afforded.
We had a good turnout and again Thanks to all those that were involved. The local club has also purchased large print reading materials for the
Washington Community Library
Light Bulb Sales During Late April
